Go Green with Biodegradable Urns
There is a current trend is to go green to protect Mother Nature. Many associations have established "go green" programs and many companies have started to proceed with creation of what is called eco-friendly products. With the demise of a loved one, it is but a painful task to go through the process of deciding what type of burial he/she should be given. For those people, who would prefer a ground burial, they would have to go through the negotiation of the land space with any pet cemetery and the selection of a casket. For those who prefer cremation, then the selection of a crematorium and which cremation urns to choose. The same process of selection applies when disposing of our deceased pets, whether a cat or a dog, the very same process applies.
Nowadays with eco-friendly being the trend, several funeral parlors and cremation services have manufactured biodegradable pet urns to cater to those pet owners who would want to give back to mother earth. But the choices are not limited to biodegradable pet urns before they were created and made available to the public, several types of urns have already been manufactured and sold to the public. Urns can be classified on the type of materials used in creating them and they can also be classified according to themes. If the classification is based on type of materials used, then there are urns made of metal, wood, natural stone, ceramic and glass urns. With urns made of metal it could be created using bronze, brass, copper and pewter. Metal urns are what are highly accessible in the market, given the wide array of materials to use in creating them. Urns made of wood are usually hand-crafted and selected from different types of wood, which include cherry, oak, mahogany, maple and poplar. Those were the most common types of wood used in creating wooden urns and this type of urns give out a very warm appearance because of the natural materials being used. Marble urns, onyx urns and granite urns comprise the classification of natural stone urns. Urns made of natural stone produces one of a kind unique piece of art, because of the different properties of the natural stones, it is impossible to produce identical looking urns, the design and texture would always vary. Urns crafted from porcelain and clay is called ceramic urns, the ceramic urns provide flexibility and produce a variety of styles and designs.
Biodegradable urns have become interestingly popular, as many people wanted to bury the remains of their loved ones either on the ground and at sea while giving back to nature as a way of replenishing it. These biodegradable pet urns are suitable for both land and sea burials when used at sea, it would contain the remains before fully sinking into the water in about 10 to 15 minutes and would completely degrade in approximately 2 to 3 days, if used on land burials, it would stay on the ground before decomposing and mix with the earth for about a year or so, this would depend on the climate though.
