The Natural Salt Biodegradable Urn is the most environmentally friendly urn for salt water or ocean burial. This urn is carved out of salt from the Magnificent Mountains of the Middle East where Mother Nature has been compacting salt crystals for many millennia. The reddish hue of the salt is derived from the iron content in the salt bed. This salt is the finest salt for the human body and produces a natural urn like no other. Perfect for the ocean lover.
After submersion, the urn will take 4 hours to dissolve. The cremains are poured directly into the urn, and a bio adhesive is included to secure the cover. This urn is 10 1/2" tall and is 220 cubic inches.

This is a perfect ocean burial at sea urn, since it is all salt. We poured the cremains in to the urn and placed the cover on top. We travel to the ocean and took a boat out quite a ways and drop the salt urn into the ocean. It slipped under the water and we said a few words about our beloved. It was really very moving and you have a feeling of returning a person back to the sea and the beautiful earth.Quality
