The urn's capacity, and the amount of ashes you want to keep inside it, determine the space you have to put other items of sentimental value. You may place virtually anything inside the urn with the ashes, from a lock of hair to a wedding ring, even a special note. When you browse our extensive line of cremation urns, look for the specific capacity of each individual urn, which is measured in cubic inches and listed on each urn’s individual page. As you place the order, please indicate that you would like to put something additional into the urn.

Selecting the Correct Size

Our urns come in such a wide variety of sizes, from the smallest cremation jewelry to companion urns. If you prefer to order a standard urn from our website, you should select a cremation urn with capacity enough to hold the ashes of your loved one, plus the mementos you would like to include inside the urn cavity. The quantity of ashes of the average adult ranges from 180-200 cubic inches. Most of our adult-sized urns are large enough to accommodate these ashes, but some are smaller and others are much larger.

Custom Sizes May Be Available

We are happy to talk with you about your intentions for the cremation urn, so we can recommend options that are large enough for your needs. We may be able to create a custom urn or other container that is larger than our standard sizes. However, with our quick turnaround and shipping times, such a request must be made in advance of the order.
