I would like information on the cost of a cremation. We have our own containers for the ashes, but would prefer just to have our ashes scattered.

    Hello Lynne,
When it comes to scattering ashes there are so many options, as well as a variety of different types of Scattering Urns. When it comes to the cost of cremation it can vary and ranges from about $1,500.00-$4,000.00 depending on whether you are to use a funeral home verses going directly through the crematory. Working directly with the crematory is always the cheaper route though. Feel free to take a look at some of these links as well for more info on scattering, Methods of Scattering Ashes, Scattering Ashes Insights and Information, hope this helps.

    Hello Lynne,

No problem in helping you with that. What city and state do you live in and I can refer different degrees of cost. From just cremation where you can ask the Crematory to use your “urn container”. We would also be happy to call around in your area and ask what the policy is on the State level, County level, also the policy of a Crematorium(s) and would also show you some options on how to go about the process.

A popular inexpensive way of spreading a person’s cremated remains that are ceremoniously used is the raking method of a loved ones Cremated “Ashes”.

Can you please describe more about the the raking method of cremated ashes?
    Thank you.

    Hello Beverly,

Normally people will perform the raking method if they plan on scattering the ashes, most in particular, within a scattering garden. When performing the raking method you can use a Scattering Urn to evenly scatter the ashes onto loose soil. From there you would gently rake the ashes into the ground/soil. This is normally done at the end of a scattering ceremony once the celebration comes to a conclusion.

    Sincerely,
    Susan Fraser
