Michelangelo's Pieta Cremation Urn features the famous image of Mary holding Jesus in her arms after the Crucifixion. This incredibly detailed depiction of the beautiful masterpiece is made of brass and has a bronze Flemish finish. The wood urn base is made of poplar wood and finished in a matte black.
Since the art is not permanently attached to the urn base, many of our customers keep the art and wood urn together for a period of time. When the time comes, they place the urn base into a casket with a loved one that has passed, or they just bury the urn base. Then they will keep the art as a family heirloom. Also, you could have the name plate removed and keep with the art.
Size & Measurements:
The overall urn measures 14 1/2" tall x 12" x 12". This urn has a capacity of approximately 280 cubic inches, which is suitable as a single or possibly companion urn, for two people.
We offer a free 4 line plate brass engraved plate. Here is an example of what we can engrave:

Very beautiful, perfect resting place for the cremains of my grandpa. One can find perfect peace with the idea that Jesus and Mary are always with us even after our earthly life. That we are covered with Jesus' precious body and blood and we are under Mary's mantle of maternal protection. Very beautiful!
Pieta Wood Urn
Thank you for sending us the walnut urn base rather than the black one, it looks much warmer and we are very happy with it. My wife and mother-in-law agreed it is perfect for my wife's father. You did a great job and I do appreciate that, thank you.
Michelangelo's Pieta Cremation Urn
The family and I really love the urn and we were glad you went with you on it, as the engraving was perfect. It was very beautiful in the church, thank you again.
The urn arrived yesterday and it was so much nicer than I thought it would be. My Dad and sisters thought it was a perfect urn for our Mother. Thank you for all your help.
Pieta Cremation Urn
My wife and I chose this urn for my brother and his daughter who passed a few years back. The company made an extra plate for free for each of them and put them side by side in the front of the urn. It now sits in the holy chapel in our home town. My wife and I wanted to say we were impressed with the quality of the statue, the urn and the service.
