Description:

The Viking North Raku Cremation Urn represents the an ancient world, from a time long ago when a bit of bone or tooth was the tool used to survive. This beautiful urn is a crackle white Raku with an antler, a stone and copper wire closure.

Each urn is unique with a gloss finish and is hand made through a fascinating process. A ceramic urn is heated in a kiln until it reaches 2000 degrees, then it is pulled out carefully and plunged into a pit of wood shavings, instantly igniting. Overnight the urn will smolder and what is created is the whites and grays with natural crackle lines. The potter, the earth and the flames shape the urn, the way life shapes us.

Size & Measurements:

The Viking North Raku Urn measures approximately 11 inches tall, and is 200 cubic inches each. Each urn comes with adhesive.

In my search for Viking urns to honor my full Norweigan Viking husband, it was important that we view options that he approved of, an urn that would be the perfect reflection of his regal heritage. When we saw the Viking North Raku urn, he knew that it was perfect! When we received the hand-kilned urn we were stunned by its remarkable beauty. Topped with Viking survival tools of bone, stone, and copper, it represented a true reflection of Nordic history. I was elated that he was able to see this incredible work of art prior to crossing over, which was only weeks later. I would like to thank the artisans for not only crafting such a beautiful and individualized piece, but also for bringing perfect peace to Christian Lee Antonsen's heart, knowing he would be honorably represented.

Thank you.
Blessings and light,
Kitty Antonsen

Good Morning,

I thank you for the prompt delivery of my items. I was concerned about the base of the urn, but it is wide and sturdy to hold the cremains. They are exactly what I wanted.
Thank you.
